  The place I went to is called the Cinder Track, it is a long ex railway line walk/Cycle Track which goes from Scarborough to Whitby. It passes through some Agricultural Scenery and some very pretty country. There is one Cafe that I know of, which is in an old Railway station. You can park at Random places along its length. In places its very hard to find, even at the Scarborough beginning, not sure about the Whitby end.
